Information we collect
When you browse DealRadar, our servers automatically log basic technical information: your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the date and timestamp of your visit. This information is used to operate the site, debug technical problems, and produce aggregated traffic reports. When you subscribe to the newsletter, we additionally collect the first name, email address, and optionally the phone number you provide on the signup form. We use that information for one purpose: sending you the deal alerts you signed up for.
Cookies and tracking
DealRadar uses cookies for two purposes: (1) remembering basic site preferences such as which categories you browsed last, and (2) measuring aggregated traffic patterns through Google Analytics. We also display third-party advertising through Google AdSense, which uses cookies to serve relevant ads based on your visit history across the web. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your Google Ads Settings.
How we use your information
Email addresses and phone numbers collected through the newsletter signup are used exclusively for sending the weekly DealRadar newsletter and occasional flash-deal SMS alerts. We do not sell, rent, or share subscriber data with third parties for marketing purposes. Aggregated, anonymized traffic data may be used internally to inform editorial decisions about which retailers and categories to expand coverage of.
Data security
DealRadar uses 256-bit SSL encryption on every page of the site, including the newsletter signup form. Subscriber data is stored on encrypted servers with access restricted to a small number of authorized team members. We perform regular security audits and have not experienced a data breach since the site launched.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email the address listed on our Contact page. We respond to all data-rights requests within seven business days. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter in one click using the link at the bottom of any issue — that immediately removes your address from the active subscriber list.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. Material changes will be announced at the top of this page for at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the site after a policy change indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
